Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital - $2,707 per week

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting in Brownwood, Texas. The 13‑week travel assignment requires 2+ years of acute care experience and involves day shifts (5×8 hrs, 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM) totaling 40 hours per week. You will work in an acute care hospital unit treating cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patients (e.g., COPD, CHF, post‑stroke rehab, joint replacements, amputations) using Allscripts for charting.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and complete discharge documentation.
• Complete orientation modules (average 6‑8 hours, non‑billable).
• Adhere to facility drug‑screening policies (including marijuana testing) and submit required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer.
• Submit hard documentation by the Thursday 2:00 PM CST deadline prior to start (with case‑by‑case flexibility).
• Comply with the local radius rule (allied candidates must reside within 50 miles; local candidates not accepted).
• Maintain any required travel experience (preferred but not required)
