Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital - $1,874 per week

About the role

Immediate travel opening for a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting. The PT will be responsible for evaluation, development, and execution of plans of care for a variety of patient populations. Preferred experience is 1 year; exceptional candidates with appropriate background may be considered with 6 months of experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
• Understand and comply with the respective PT board's rules and regulations within the state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred; new grads encouraged to apply)
• BLS certification
• State-specific Physical Therapist license
• ARRT certification
• CCI certification
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days

Pay

Pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
