About the role
Travel Physical Therapist responsible for patient evaluation, developing and implementing treatment plans in an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients.
- Utilize electronic medical records, preferably Epic, for documentation and charting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, social services, and pharmacy.
- Provide therapy services such as gait training, body mechanics, assistive device management, and neurology assessments.
- Manage patient caseloads and ensure proper use of adaptive devices and equipment.
- Float within hospital units and to nearby facilities as needed, with weekend and holiday shifts included.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy and valid licensure in Oregon or eligibility.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, especially in acute care settings.
- Proficiency with Epic charting system and experience with adult medical units.
- Certifications in BLS and skills in acute care, gait training, neurology, and pain assessment.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to float requirements.
- Must submit current certifications, CNA license in hand, and a detailed profile with RTO and supervisor references.
- Travel compliance and orientation modules are also necessary.
Schedule
Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
