About the role

Travel Physical Therapist responsible for patient evaluation, developing and implementing treatment plans in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients.
  • Utilize electronic medical records, preferably Epic, for documentation and charting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, social services, and pharmacy.
  • Provide therapy services such as gait training, body mechanics, assistive device management, and neurology assessments.
  • Manage patient caseloads and ensure proper use of adaptive devices and equipment.
  • Float within hospital units and to nearby facilities as needed, with weekend and holiday shifts included.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy and valid licensure in Oregon or eligibility.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, especially in acute care settings.
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system and experience with adult medical units.
  • Certifications in BLS and skills in acute care, gait training, neurology, and pain assessment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to float requirements.
  • Must submit current certifications, CNA license in hand, and a detailed profile with RTO and supervisor references.
  • Travel compliance and orientation modules are also necessary.

Schedule

Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
