Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care - $1,944 per week

ARMStaffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for a backfill contract position in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients in a heart-centric environment, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery following cardiac surgeries and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to facilitate optimal patient recovery
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including RNs, hospitalists, and case managers
• Support wound care management, especially related to post-operative conditions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR (Meditech)

Requirements

• Valid Physical Therapist license
• Certification as a Wound Specialist (CWS) or Board Certification in Wound Care is highly preferred
• Experience with cardiac rehabilitation equipment such as LVAD, Impella, and Balloon Pumps
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, ideally in an ICU/CCU setting

Schedule

• 13-week contract position
• Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Rotating weekends every 3 to 4 weekends
• No on-call required
