Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Physical TherapistDiscipline: TherapyStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 9 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary (List Format): - Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, adjusting care plans as needed based on patient response and evidence. - Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. - Performs patient transfers safely using proper body mechanics. - Designs, implements, and modifies individualized plans of care that include treatment goals, interventions, outcomes, and discharge plans. - Conducts patient examinations, selects appropriate assessment methods, and determines physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes. - Documents care and clinical findings according to organizational and regulatory policies. - Screens patients to determine the need and effectiveness of therapy services. - Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods. - Utilizes and monitors support personnel (PTA, rehab techs) in compliance with legal and ethical standards. - Collaborates with patients, families, and medical teams throughout the rehabilitation process, including education and discharge planning. - Uses standardized outcome measures to track and document functional performance. - Communicates patient status, recommendations, and discharge needs clearly to the care team. - Provides supervision to support personnel in accordance with regulatory requirements. - Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Illinois PT license, and BLS certification. - Work schedule is Monday–Friday, with one weekend per month; 8-hour shifts. - Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing). - New graduates are considered for this position.Med Ninjas Job ID #6236.
