About the Role

iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Onancock, Virginia. This is a full-time, outpatient position working 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week, for a 13-week duration starting August 3, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in a clinical setting.
  • Administer assessments, develop treatment plans, and document patient progress using Epic EMR system.
  • Ensure compliance with all VA licensing, certification, and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Follow all infection control and safety protocols, including maintaining current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through AHA.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid VA physical therapy license or proof of compact license.
  • Proof of VA travel compliance and current VA licenses submitted at the time of application.
  • Epic EMR experience preferred, especially within acute care hospitals.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.
  • Education: NIH and stroke education required for RN candidates at Riverside Health acute care facilities.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Recent outpatient and acute care hospital experience within the last year.
  • Prior hospital-based therapy experience with familiarity in specialty settings.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay & Benefits

$2900 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
