Travel Physical Therapist - $2,790 per week

About the role

Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient & Inpatient Rehab in Waimea, Hawaii. This 13‑week contract offers a blend of outpatient, acute care, ICU, SNF, and inpatient mobility progression in a rural hospital‑based setting.

• Approximately 75% outpatient caseload and 25% acute/inpatient/ICU/SNF.
• Rural hospital environment on Kauai with access to beaches, hiking, ocean views, local restaurants, and a slower‑paced island lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Treat a variety of outpatient diagnoses with thorough, individualized care plans.
• Support acute care, ICU, SNF, and inpatient mobility progression needs.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapy, speech‑language pathology, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.

Requirements

• Hawaii PT license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong clinical independence required.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Acute care, SNF, or hospital‑based experience preferred.
• Rural healthcare experience preferred.

• 40 hours per week (8‑hour day shifts, days)
