Travel Physical Therapist - $2,600 per week

About the role

Travel assignment in Battle Creek, Michigan. 40 guaranteed hours per week, 9-hour day shifts. Three shifts per week must end at 6 pm; other shift lengths are negotiable. No call or weekend requirements. No float requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic and neurologic physical-therapy services
• Treat adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manage a daily census of 13 patients with approximately 10 visits per day
• Use Epic charting system
• Develop home exercise programs and provide patient/family education
• Work with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy and rapid-response teams

Requirements

• Valid Michigan state license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Proficiency in orthopedic and neurologic skills
• Experience with the following conditions and procedures:
  • Body mechanics, cervicalgia, low back pain
  • Post-operative cervical, shoulder, and spinal surgeries
  • Spinal conditions, total hip/knee replacements
  • Cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease
  • Post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal-cord injury, traumatic brain injury
• Experience in acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled-nursing facilities (SNF)
• Flu vaccination (medical exemptions only)
• Supervisor-level references

Facility & Patient Care Details

• Patient age groups: adolescents (9+ for orthopedic), adults, geriatrics
• Specialty diagnoses: all orthopedic conditions, neuro diagnoses, infants with torticollis, pelvic-floor diagnoses
• Special equipment: AlterG treadmill
• 8-hour orientation
• Annual non-billable modules (self-reported, 8 hours)
