Travel Physical Therapist - $2,509 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient, long term care, home health, and inpatient rehabilitation role. The position involves working across outpatient, long term care, home health, and inpatient settings, treating patients of all ages with developmental deficits, physical injury, or illness, and using EPIC for documentation. Shifts are 8 hours, scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, with holiday coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PT services and provide direct therapeutic care to assigned clients
• Teach rehabilitation skills to clients and caregivers to promote independent functionality and safety
• Develop and revise individualized plans of care based on assessments, diagnoses, and physician orders
• Apply treatments using physical agents such as heat, water, and electricity with equipment like whirlpool baths, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound
• Document all care thoroughly and in compliance with Medicare, state, federal, JCAHO, and payer requirements
• May supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Home Health Aides as applicable
• Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement programs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current, active state PT license required
• Experience across outpatient, long term care, home health, and inpatient settings preferred

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

• 8‑hour shifts, 5×8hrs (Tuesday through Saturday)

• Start date: November 2, 2026
