TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a position in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The role involves overseeing supervising PTAs, supporting staff, billing, evaluating patients, creating and modifying treatment plans, and documenting care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop a plan of care for various patient populations in an acute care setting
- Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff
- Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
- Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
- Evaluate and create a plan of care
- Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
Requirements
- 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply
- BLS certification
- State-specific licensing
- A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have 6 months of experience; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply. Applicants must also hold a valid BLS certification and state-specific licensing. Physical therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. A strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
