About the role

Western Colorado premier healthcare facility, Valley View Hospital, has an opportunity for an Outpatient Full-time Physical Therapist at our Valley View Carbondale Clinic. Due to increased patient volume, we are expanding our Rehab staff to shorten wait times. In this position, you will evaluate patients and develop and implement treatment plans for a variety of diagnoses. Your goal will be to improve patients' strength, range of motion, balance, safety, and function. You will also educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.

Schedule

Working 4-10 hour days per week; days will vary and include a Saturday schedule, leaving 3 days a week free.

Housing

Valley View offers newly remodeled studio apartments located ½ block from the hospital for $1,790/month (studio) or $1,980/month (small 1-bedroom). Includes Wi-Fi, utilities, on-site laundry, and fully furnished. No pets, no deposit, move-in ready. Based on availability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop appropriate treatment plans for various diagnoses.
• Improve patients' strength, range of motion, balance, safety, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Current Colorado PT licensure (DORA) or compact license for Colorado.
• At least two years of PT experience; 3-5 years preferred.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours do not apply on holidays for clinic workers.
• Out-of-state agencies must register in the system as the employer. If they do not have a CO office/address, they must enter their real address but select CO as the state and clarify in the Multiple Locations field.
