About the role
St. Barnabas Community Hospital is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 10-week Acute Care assignment in the Bronx, New York. This opportunity is ideal for therapists with prior acute care experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospital environment alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
You'll evaluate and treat hospitalized patients with a variety of medical, surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions while helping them safely regain mobility and function.

Responsibilities
- Perform PT evaluations and reassessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, medical, and post-surgical diagnoses
- Provide gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and therapeutic exercise
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and rehabilitation team members
- Complete timely documentation and patient progress reports
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
- New York PT License Required
- Minimum 2 Years PT Experience Required
- Acute Care Experience Required
