Travel Physical Therapist - $2,300 per week

About the role

Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Shreveport, Louisiana, with a start date of October 11, 2026.

The position requires 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with no call, weekends, or holidays required.

Orientation includes general hospital, departmental, and site‑specific training over 2–3 days, after which the therapist will carry a full caseload by the end of the first week. Floating between facilities is not required unless otherwise specified.

Patient populations served include:

• Spinal cord injuries
• TBI and strokes
• Amputees
• Multiple trauma
• Hip fractures and bilateral knee replacements
• Post‑cardiac surgery
• Medically complex/debilitating patients
• Orthopedic and sports medicine
• Pediatrics/developmental cases
• Neurological and spinal conditions

Requirements

• 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience
• Current Louisiana PT license
• First‑time travelers not preferred (may be considered based on experience and skillset)

Skills

• Ability to independently manage a caseload
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• EPIC experience preferred
