About the role
Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Elkins, West Virginia, starting ASAP. The position is full‑time travel, 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts. The therapist will provide physical therapy services in compliance with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines, including patient evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and direct therapy to restore function and mobility. Job ID #38349992. Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients as deemed appropriate.
- Develop and regularly update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care.
- Document therapy services accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and Rehabilitation Technicians in accordance with practice acts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and communicate effectively with patients' families.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an APTA‑accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT).
- Active state Physical Therapy license (or qualification to obtain one).
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and schedules across different facilities.
