About the role
Providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders requiring strengthening, modalities, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education and training in activities in daily living under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Participates in professional responsibilities, including documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- ADL retraining
- Patient education in home safety
- Adaptive equipment and compensation techniques
- Coordination, strengthening and therapeutic exercise programs
- Manual therapy and therapeutic activities
- Aquatic therapy and neuromuscular re-education per patient needs
Requirements
- BLS Certification
- Physical Therapist license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
- Previous work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab unit preferred
- Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
Schedule
- 13-week contract
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shifts: Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:30
- One weekend per month
- Start date: 09/14/2026
