TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in New Port Richey, Florida. This is an immediate travel opening with the following details:
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
- Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Key tasks include:
- Overseeing supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
- Billing within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
- Understanding and complying with the respective PT board's rules and regulations
- Interfacing with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
- Understanding adaptive equipment
- Evaluating and creating a plan of care, modifying it as indicated based on the patient's condition
- Using Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
- Providing timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
- BLS certification
- State-specific licensing
- Ability to stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
