About the Role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in New Port Richey, Florida. This is an immediate travel opening with the following details:

Start Date: 08/31/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
Employment Type: Travel

Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Key tasks include:

Overseeing supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
Billing within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
Understanding and complying with the respective PT board's rules and regulations
Interfacing with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care
Understanding adaptive equipment
Evaluating and creating a plan of care, modifying it as indicated based on the patient's condition
Using Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
Providing timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
BLS certification
State-specific licensing
Ability to stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
