About the role
Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient position in Chewelah, Washington. This role involves working at a critical access hospital with a low inpatient census, primarily utilizing inpatient therapy services. The position offers flexibility with workdays and may include floating between nearby facilities based on facility needs.
Schedule
- Days shift, 8 hours per day
- Minimum of 32 hours per week
- Generally a 0.6 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position, approximately 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday with potential flexibility to adjust days
- Work schedule varies based on hospital census
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient therapy services at a rural/critical access hospital with 23 beds and a daily census of about 5 patients
- Work with a range of inpatient diagnoses including post-operative recovery, mobility limitations, and chronic conditions
- Utilize equipment such as hoyer lifts, therapy stairs, and adaptive devices
- May require occasional floating between facilities in the nearby region
Requirements
- Valid Washington state Physical Therapist license
- BLS certification
- 1 year of experience in acute care
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Ability to work independently in an inpatient setting
