About the role

The organization is seeking a dedicated Float Physical Therapist to support multiple outpatient clinics across the Floyd region. This full-time travel role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based patient care for diverse orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, with opportunities for professional growth and community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and quality of life.
  • Treat orthopedic, post-operative, musculoskeletal, balance, vestibular, and mobility-related conditions.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, wellness, and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Scribe AI-powered technology and the Raintree electronic medical record platform.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 10-12 patient visits daily in outpatient settings.
  • Support a positive clinic culture focused on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Float rotation may be required between assigned clinic locations.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent legacy degree (MSPT/MPT/BPT) from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between assigned clinic locations.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday shift, 8 hours per day.
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week.
