Travel Inpatient Pharmacist position in Boone, North Carolina. 13‑week assignment starting 11/09/2026, 40 hours per week on a travel basis. The Inpatient Pharmacist ensures effective medication management and safety within the inpatient setting, collaborating directly with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders and patient medication profiles to ensure safe and appropriate pharmacotherapy.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to therapeutic decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations in the practice of pharmacy.
• Monitor and manage drug therapy, including adverse drug reactions and interactions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to analyze complex clinical scenarios and make informed decisions.

Schedule

Shift times vary but will not extend past 9:00 PM. The position follows a 4×10‑hour schedule, typically 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Pay

Pay package based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend; amount to be determined.
