Travel Pharmacist - $2,210 per week

About the role

Travel Pharmacist position in Richmond, Virginia. Start date: November 2, 2026. Duration: 24 weeks. 36 hours per week, 12-hour evening shifts. Employment type: Travel contract.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day provision of high-quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to hospital patients in compliance with federal/state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
• Perform multiple drug distribution functions including computerized order entry, prospective review and verification of physicians' orders, and IV admixture preparation
• Execute defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives
• Actively communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to clarify or change orders, with documentation of intervention outcomes

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Preferred: 2 years experience in a hospital setting
• Pharmacist licensure in state applying, or eligibility for licensure via examination or reciprocity
