Travel Peds/Neo Respiratory Therapist - $2,315 per week

About the role

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to provide quality patient care in Morgantown, West Virginia. As a member of the Respiratory Team, you will develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. This is a 13‑week contract assignment with a start date of ASAP, working 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts (3x12 schedule). Ask your recruiter if this job qualifies as a crisis rate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients and families

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• At least 2 years of work experience
• Current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
• Phenomenal efficiency, attention to detail, strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety
• Compassionate and sensitive approach to patient care

Pay & Schedule

Pay depends on location and experience; a very competitive package is offered. The pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Schedule: 3x12 day shifts, 36 hours per week.
