The respiratory therapist will provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport within the scope of professional license, with minimal supervision. The role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on treatments and procedures, ensuring quality patient care. Job Details Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and 0 years of experience are required. Performs routine and complex respiratory treatments, including operation of ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen and aerosol devices, nebulizers, and related equipment. Conducts chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and assessments such as oximetry, capnography, chest x-ray review, EKG, and pulmonary function studies. Assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy, Perc Trachs, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care. Performs arterial puncture to evaluate ventilation efficiency and monitors patient responses. Follows policies related to laboratory testing and specimens, maintains equipment, and reports results accurately. Administers CPR in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines. Operates and maintains ventilatory equipment, facilitates preventative maintenance, and records treatment information comprehensively. Communicates effectively with physicians concerning therapy efficiency and shift handoffs. Maintains accurate respiratory therapy documentation and charge records. Performs other duties as assigned.
