Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • 10-hour shifts, days
  • Option 1: 4x10s – Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 07:30–18:00; Friday 07:30–17:00
  • Option 2: 5x8s – 3 days at 09:30–18:00 and 2 days at 07:30–16:00
  • No weekends

Responsibilities

  • 9 visits per day
  • Patient age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents
  • Documentation in Wellsky/Epic
  • Patient/family education
  • Billing documentation: Assessment, Discharge, Evaluation, Medicaid, Plan of Care, Reassessments, SLP Evaluation Coding
  • Recognize signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, psychological abuse

Requirements

  • Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP
  • 1–2 years of experience required
  • Unit accepts first-time traveler
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
  • Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
  • Minimum of 1 year acute experience
  • Pending OH License is okay; must have MI license in hand
  • 2 references from within the last 24 months; must submit one reference contact within 72 hours of signing
  • Local radius: 50 miles (locals not accepted)
  • Floating to other units and/or facilities if needed is an expectation for all travelers
  • Epic charting experience required
  • For Ohio facilities only: Fingerprinting required for Pediatric units; Ohio FBI/BCI results take 4–6 weeks (cannot start with results pending)

Orientation & Modules

  • 8 hours of orientation
  • Modules completed during orientation and annually (varies by specialty)
  • First 8 hours spent on modules are non-billable
  • Any time spent on modules exceeding 4 hours is billable, up to 8 additional hours (12 hours total)
