About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Outpatient Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Monroe, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to patients in a pediatric outpatient setting within a hospital-based SLP unit.
- Assess, evaluate, and develop treatment plans for patients with autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders.
- Document assessments, evaluations, discharge summaries, Medicaid documentation, plans of care, reassessments, and SLP evaluation coding using WellSky and Epic.
- Work flexible schedules of either 4x10-hour shifts (Mon, Tue, Thu 7:30am–6:00pm; Fri 7:30am–5:00pm) or 5x8-hour shifts (3 days 9:30am–6:00pm, 2 days 7:30am–4:00pm).
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- CCC-SLP certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in a pediatric outpatient setting.
- Experience with autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders.
- Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
- Experience with patient and family education.
- Proficiency in billing documentation including assessments, evaluations, discharge summaries, Medicaid documentation, plans of care, reassessments, and SLP evaluation coding.
Qualifications
- License required if applicable.
- Two recent professional supervisory references required.
- Seven years of continuous work history with all gaps explained.
Benefits
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
