Travel Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist - $2,468 per week

About the role

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Willmar, MN. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA‑SLP National Certification with state‑specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• ASHA, BLS, and 1 year of experience (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment).
