Travel Pediatric Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist - $3,668 per week

About the Role

Travel Pediatric Echocardiography position in Fairfax, Virginia. 13-week assignment starting October 26, 2026, with 40 hours per week on day shift (8-hour shifts, 5 days per week). Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units with 4 scanners on-site. Uses Philips equipment, Epic EMR, and PACS Fuji CV Synapse system. Occasional float to Inova Fairfax Campus. 1–2 weeks of floor orientation provided. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
• Recognize and triage emergent situations
• Provide written communication to cardiologists
• Maintain equipment and handle logging/billing of procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in pediatric sonography
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease
• BLS and ARDMS certification required
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
• Fetal echo experience encouraged; adult echo experience a plus
• Epic EMR access required
• License required if applicable

Schedule

• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 5 × 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements

Pay

Pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower rate.
