Travel Pediatric RN

About the Role

The Pediatric RN provides comprehensive, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients across clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and family-centered support.

Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric patient health, develop and implement care plans, administer treatments, and monitor responses.
• Explain procedures to children and families to foster understanding and reduce anxiety.
• Administer medications, prepare pediatric-specific equipment, and assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
• Ensure patient safety, observe vital signs, and respond to emergencies following protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborate with families on care plans and provide education on treatments and health topics.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• One year of recent pediatric RN experience and valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification; PALS or ENPC required; NRP preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC tools.
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients; capable of working under pressure.
• Effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
