Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) at the healthcare organization. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, procedures, and education. The role requires adherence to clinical policies and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory treatments, operating ventilatory equipment and managing invasive and non‑invasive devices.
• Conduct procedures such as suctioning, chest physiotherapy, arterial puncture, and tracheostomy care.
• Monitor patient response, review diagnostic tests, and document care.
• Follow all policy guidelines related to laboratory testing, airway management, and respiratory procedures.
• Maintain equipment functionality and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and team members regarding patient status and therapy effectiveness.

Requirements

• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) with relevant pediatric experience or training.
• All required certifications and educational credentials must be current (no minimum years of experience required).

Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Familiarity with pediatric respiratory procedures.
