About the role
Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Charleston, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a catheterization laboratory setting.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-procedure education and monitoring vital signs.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the catheterization laboratory.
- Document patient data accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure sterile technique and infection control protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Current certification in PALS, BLS, and ACLS.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in Level I Trauma and/or Pediatric Cath Lab, with experience in transplant, R/L biopsy, balloon stent, valve placement, and IR (preferably pediatric).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited medical technologist program.
- Current registration as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Cardiac Sonographer (CS) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

- Proficiency in operating catheterization laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of catheterization laboratory safety protocols.
