American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a pediatric cardiac cath lab at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital, with experience in pediatric cath lab procedures required.

- Pediatric cardiac cath lab setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- 2 cath lab procedure rooms
- Pediatric patient population with cases including Pediatric/Adult Transplant, R/L Biopsy, Balloon, Stent, and Valve Placement procedures; IR experience (preferably pediatric) may also be required
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call required: approximately 8–10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
- Epic EMR; experience preferred
- Parking fees apply on nights and weekends only (one-time $20 parking pass)
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required; pediatric cath lab experience preferred
Experience in a Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab preferred; EP experience also preferred
CICU with RCIS or RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQS(R) also acceptable
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (AHA certifications only)
Radiation badge required
SC license required if applicable — candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, but must be licensed/active prior to start
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
About the Role
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, but local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
All travelers are assigned to the facility's emergency response team; candidates should be aware that hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September
Benefits
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
