About the Role

A Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general units, requiring frequent monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer treatments and assist with cardiac procedures
• Assess patient needs and respond to emergencies
• Document care and maintain patient confidentiality
• Educate patients on cardiac health
• Ensure safety protocols are followed
• Interpret telemetry data
• Manage complex patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications & Skills

• One year of recent stepdown experience
• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills
• Physical stamina and technical proficiency
• Ability to work under pressure
