About the Role
Provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring frequent monitoring and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Interpret cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist with cardiac procedures
- Monitor patient safety
- Document assessments and patient status
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Prepare equipment and respond to emergencies
- Educate patients
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- One year of recent Stepdown RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- PCCN certification
- NIHSS certification
Skills & Abilities
- Critical thinking and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English communication, PC skills, and reading instructions
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures
- Effective teamwork and professionalism
