About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess critical care experience and a thorough understanding of nursing principles. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and ensuring safety protocols are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit.
- Assess patient's clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
- Navigate and address safety issues for self and patients.
- Implement the safe use of lifts and movement techniques for patients.
- Function effectively under stress and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Possess strong leadership skills with an emphasis on prioritization and delegation.
- May serve in a charge nurse capacity as needed.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current New York RN license required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required; PALS preferred.
- At least one prior successful travel nursing assignment is required.
- Critical care experience is preferred.

Pay
- Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
- Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
