VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
About the Role
This is a travel nursing opportunity in a hospital setting, offering a 13-week contract with the potential for local or traveler candidates. The role involves providing postoperative nursing care for cardiac procedure patients in the Interventional Care Unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative nursing care for cardiac procedure patients, including those with STEMI, NSTEMI, PCIs, chest pains, CHF, COPD, and other cardiac conditions.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, manage BIPAP, chest tubes, and pacemakers.
- Perform procedures such as Pericardiocentesis, Thoracentesis, PD, and Trachs.
- Conduct bedside shift reports, patient handoffs, and build personal connections with patients.
- Utilize Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system.
- Collaborate with a team of RNs, LNAs, and a Unit Clerk to provide optimal patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, unit guidelines, and maintain required certifications.

- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts: 19:00 - 07:00 (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
