About the role
Travel RN position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU/Step Down) at a 379‑bed Level II Trauma Center in Lubbock, TX. Assignment is 13 weeks, ASAP start, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. First‑time travelers accepted.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a PCU/IMCU/Step Down setting with a 1:4 nurse‑to‑patient ratio
- Float between units as needed
- Manage cardiac drips, post‑cath lab procedural care, and tracheostomy/ventilator patients
- Work weekends (6 shifts per schedule period)
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Proficiency with cardiac drips, post‑cath lab care, and trach/ventilator management
- Willingness to float between units
- Availability for weekend shifts (6 per schedule period)
- Adherence to dress code: solid navy blue scrubs/uniforms for RNs (no print tops except in designated areas)
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 12‑hour day shifts
- Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per schedule period
- Block schedules not required
- Overtime approved for 48‑hour work weeks
Pay
Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation); tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
