About the Role

This is a 13-week travel contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The role involves providing high-level care to multiple long-term patients, with a focus on cardiac telemetry and critical monitoring. Candidates must manage various patient care activities, including EKG tests, peripheral line care, and titrating drips, while adhering to a patient ratio of 1:5.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 07:00 to 19:30, including weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and perform EKG interpretations.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to various Cone Health campuses as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years of RN experience with a focus on Progressive Care or similar settings.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (mandatory).
• Cardiac telemetry experience and proficiency in the management and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with peripheral and PICC line management.
• Active RN license in the state.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
