Schedule

3x12-Hour Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Staff are expected to sign up for 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Telemetry, you will provide care for patients with various cardiac conditions, including pre and post-cardiac catheterization. Your role will involve monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, identifying dysrhythmias and responding promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage cardiac drips without titration.
• Provide post-operative care for patients following cardiac procedures.
• Utilize rapid response teams for emergency situations involving cardiac patients.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC system.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Units (PCU).
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with central lines, PICC lines, and CVP monitoring.
• Comfort in using rapid response teams and managing post-myocardial infarction conditions.
