Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Athens, Georgia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PCU - Progressive Care UnitDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 12 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary (List Format): - Minimum Experience: 2 years (first-time travelers accepted) - Patient Population: Adults to geriatrics - Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS - General Skills/Work Setting: - Care for patients from CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and ED - Manage post-op CABG, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients - Treat respiratory failure (non-invasive ventilation only), cardiac arrhythmias, DKA, GI bleed, trauma, CVA, seizures, CIWA, metabolic and GI disorders, renal failure, hypertensive emergency, sepsis, and neuro disorders - Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 - Unit Details: 32-bed unit; average census of 21 - Unit Systems Used: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, AirVo, BiPap, CPAP - Scrub Color: Navy blue - Requested Time Off (RTO): Maximum 7 days allowed - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (unless otherwise specified) - Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed - Call Requirement: None - Holiday Requirement: - Work one major holiday if assignment covers one - Work both if assignment covers two - Work two if assignment covers three major holidays - Major holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Years Eve/Day - Compliance: Full compliance required to start; late compliance may delay start by 2 weeks - Offer Process: - Aya Offer available if clinical pass and RTO/facility requirements met - Manager reviews profile within 48 hours of confirmation - Orientation Hours: Determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment) - Locals: Accepted at same rateMed Ninjas Job ID #19451.
