About the role
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Youngstown, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced care to patients needing close cardiac monitoring and support in a progressive care unit.
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients transitioning from critical care.
- Titrate medications, manage wound vacs and post-op drains.
- Document care using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Recent experience in progressive care or cardiac stepdown nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Intermediate coronary care experience.
- SSN and DOB required for submission.
- One reference in entire work history.
- Perm address over 50 miles from facility (locals not eligible).
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.

- Proficiency with EMR systems.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- 36 hours per week.
- 12-hour night shifts.
- Start date: 09/21/2026.
Pay
- Pay rate: $1914.00 – $2012.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week; tax-free stipend amount to be determined).
