AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Youngstown, Ohio. This travel RN Progressive Care Unit assignment at BSMH - Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital lets you provide advanced care to patients needing close monitoring and support in a compassionate hospital environment. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients transitioning from critical care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a culture focused on compassion, human dignity, integrity, service, and stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients transitioning from critical care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Provide care for patients with cardiac, surgical, and respiratory illness
• Manage Tikosyn loading unit; titrate Cardizem and heparin only
• Handle Amio drips typical to the unit
• Manage post-op drains and wound vacs
• Note: Unit does not have A-lines, Trach's, or Vents

Requirements

• Current Ohio RN license (compact accepted, copy needed)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (copy needed)
• ACLS certification (copy needed)
• 1 year of experience in progressive care, cardiac stepdown, or step-down nursing
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• SSN and DOB required
• 1 reference in entire work history
• Permanent address over 50 miles from facility (locals not eligible)

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts

Pay

Pay rate: $1804.00 - $1896.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, subject to confirmation, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined).
