About the role

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step‑down) assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The assignment lasts 13 weeks, starting on October 19 2026, with a 12‑hour night shift schedule (36 hours per week).

Schedule

• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Total Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4‑week schedule
• Self‑scheduling within reason; schedule finalized 2 weeks in advance
• Option for block scheduling for night shift

Requirements

• Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Requested Skill Set: Cardiac/telemetry experience; PCU (Progressive Care Unit) and/or critical care experience
• Advanced Skills Needed:
  • IV insertion
  • Chest tube management
  • Dobhoff (DHT) tube insertion/management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Central Venous Catheter (CVC) management
  • EKG (Electrocardiogram) performance
  • Foley catheter management
  • Early patient mobility
• Must Have: Ability to manage intermediate‑care patients with conditions such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and other complex medical/surgical needs
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs
• Patient Ratio: 4:1

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Foley catheter placement
• IV insertion
• Wound vac management
• DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis) management
• EKG acquisition
• DHT/NG (Nasogastric tube) placement
• Patient ambulation
• Assistance with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)

Experience & Equipment

• Familiarity with equipment such as Welch Allyn dynamaps, Phillips telemetry, Pyxis medication dispensing, Alaris infusion pumps, Hill‑Rom beds, iMobile devices, and MobiLab
• Knowledge of the Meditech documentation system
