About the role

Travel nurse RN Float PCU – Progressive Care Unit Med Surg assignment at a Magnet‑recognized, 853‑bed hospital in Asheville, NC that serves as the region’s only Level I trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. You will float to multiple units, caring for diverse patient populations and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Asheville is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, home to the Biltmore Estate, offering scenic beauty, cultural attractions, and outdoor activities; Charlotte, NC is about a 2‑hour drive. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts, start date ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Float to various units including PCU, Med Surg, and other areas as needed.
• Provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system (preferred).
• Demonstrate strong adaptability to changing unit assignments and patient acuity.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Strong adaptability and flexibility to float between units.
