About the role
Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Florence, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in a progressive care unit setting.
- Perform duties consistent with the standards of practice for an RN in a progressive care unit.
- Assist with patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through effective communication and documentation.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience in progressive care units is beneficial but not required.
- Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam.
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 12-hour shifts and nights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to various locations within the United States.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of progressive care unit practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems used in healthcare settings.
