Pay

$2,206.12 to $2,399.08 weekly. Pay listed includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment
• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Day shift: 07:00 – 19:30 or night shift: 19:00 – 07:30

Responsibilities

Provide care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with the following clinical skills:

• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) care
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin protocols
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• MS/Tele and telemetry monitoring on the unit
• Nasal cannula and oxygen tanks
• PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia)
• Peripheral line care and management
• PICC line management
• Post cardiac angiogram care
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Renal failure care
• Surgical drain management

Requirements

• 1 year of PCU or equivalent experience
• Active PA license or Compact License
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Charting experience with Cerner
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Facility type: Acute Care Hospital (Level 2 trauma center)
• Bed count: 273
• Patient ratios: 5:1 (days), 6:1 (nights)
• Weekend shifts required
