Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Omaha, Nebraska.
About the Role
This 13-week travel assignment starts on August 17, 2026, with a focus on oncology nursing. The role requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for oncology and PCU patients, including titrating drips such as insulin and cardizem.
- Serve as a charge nurse (minimum 1 year of experience required).
- Operate and monitor ventilators and hemodynamic equipment (e.g., CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000, ICP).
- Float to Med/Surg and PCU units as needed.
- Adhere to facility policies, including a hands-free artificial nails policy in patient care areas.
- Complete a pass/fail open-book skills exam during orientation (90% pass mark required).
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology and PCU.
- Minimum 1 year of charge nurse experience.
- Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications.
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license (required at submission to confirm 50-mile radius compliance).
- EPIC experience within the last 6 months (preferred for orientation).
- Ability to work with diverse cultural, religious, and economic backgrounds.
Clinical Environment
- RN-to-patient ratios: 1:4 in PCU (day), 1:5 in Med/Surg (day), and 1:5-6 (night).
- Support staff includes nursing assistants and unit support.
- Common diagnoses: oncology.
- Common medications/drips: chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix.
- Self-scheduling available; every other weekend required.

Pay
Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal/lodging per diems based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual pay may vary and is subject to change during the assignment.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Every other weekend required.
