Responsibilities

• Selects and identifies tissue for microscopic examination.
• Describes, measures, and dictates gross findings on select specimens using appropriate terminology.
• Determines proper fixative and decalcification procedures.
• Photographs specimens as appropriate for specific use and documentation.
• Grossing specimens/biopsies (approximately 200 cases per day).
• Experience with Epic and Cerner Millennium systems.

Requirements

• NY DOH Pathologists’ Assistant License
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Ability to gross specimens/biopsies

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP certification
• Ability to provide frozen section coverage

Schedule

Shift times: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, flexible mornings or evenings; Monday–Friday and/or weekends.
