About the role
Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Responsibilities
- Supports and promotes the mission and values of the organization.
- Provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, in collaboration with medical staff and in accordance with hospital policies.
- Completes all unit-specific competencies to care for critically ill patients.
- Involved in quality improvement initiatives and processes.
- Accurately documents clinical information and care plans for all assigned patients in a timely manner.
- Actively seeks and utilizes feedback to enhance nursing practice.
- Communicates patient information effectively to ensure continuity and safety of care.
- Ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to established protocols.
- Fosters a culture of safety by promoting error reporting and best practices.
- Addresses issues using the appropriate channels within the organization.
- Conducts hourly rounding on all assigned patients in collaboration with nursing assistants.
- Identifies and rectifies patient safety concerns.
- Recognizes and acknowledges excellent performance among colleagues.
- Builds respectful relationships through proactive communication regarding concerns.
- Collaborates across units and shifts to resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
- Engages with nurses from other departments to share expertise.
- Maintains a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
- Assists all team members and resolves unit tensions as needed.
- Adheres to the principles of shared governance and organizational philosophy.
- Participates in peer reviews and contributes to survey preparedness.
- Manages scheduled time off according to policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New Hampshire required.
- BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
- 3 years of critical care experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides proficiency in the responsibilities may be accepted.
- Holiday coverage required.
Qualifications
- Assists with the insertion of Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS.
- Must demonstrate understanding of contraindications and reversal for IV adenosine infusion.
- Ability to safely administer procedural sedation, passing an annual sedation examination, and documenting sedation in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge is preferred or must be obtained prior to completing orientation.
- NHISS certification preferred or must be obtained prior to completing orientation.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation.

- 13 weeks duration
- 40 hours per week
- 8 hour shifts, days
