Schedule

40 hours per week, 10‑hour day shifts.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care PACU setting
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Monitor patients as they wake from surgery until discharge to outpatient or transfer to the floor
• Provide care for post‑operative patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia
• Treat inpatients and outpatients according to their individual needs
• Administer diligent care via continuous monitoring, assessment, intervention, and reassessment
