Travel PACU RN - $2,177 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 12-week contract position in the PACU - Post Anesthesia Care unit at a Baltimore, Maryland facility. This role involves 36 hours per week with rotating 12-hour shifts (07:30 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:00), including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

The Main PACU is a 28-bay unit providing 24/7 specialized peri-anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan and spectrum of acuity. The unit serves inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery across more than 20 surgical and procedural services. This role offers a unique opportunity for nurses to demonstrate versatility and provide care across a broad array of surgical and medical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Titrate vasopressors and manage airway care.
• Care for ventilated patients and administer blood products.
• Conduct fluid resuscitation as needed.
• Provide comprehensive care to patients in various acuity levels.
• Assist in patient education and post-operative discharge instructions.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact State.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA only); NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of strong ICU experience.
• Experience in a PACU setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.

Schedule

• 12-week contract starting 09/14/2026.
• 36 hours per week, rotating shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:30 - 19:30) and 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts are required.
