TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. The position is a 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, with 10‑hour day shifts. The role is for an immediate opening in [citSt]. Candidates should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As a PACU RN you will provide observation and care for post‑operative patients recovering from surgical anesthesia, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure patients are ready for transfer to a room.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Be responsible for determining when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess good coping skills for stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
